Im having problems with my car spinning when i turn left but not right. I know the car must be tweaked somewhere but i cant find where. The problem seemed to start when i got a new set of jaco 28mm purples but on the first run with them i had a heavy crash and broke the front right hub, which may have damaged something else. i've checked the camber, toe-in, ride height, hinge pins and looked all over for any other damaged parts but cant find any. The only thing i havnt done is rebulit the shocks, i will do this tonight. Is there anything else you can think of that it could be?
PS, i think it might just be the car telling me it wants to be retired and for me to get the MI2!

i've heard stories of the chassis on missions being tweaked before. If i were you i would make sure all the carbon/s1 parts are flat this could be the problem
If you broke the hub you might well have bent the metal pivot ball that bolts the hub to the wishbone. Probably a good idea to replace it.
If the chassis itself is tweaked, just undo all the top-deck screws then re-tighten them all, this will remove any chassis tweak.

Have had the same problem.
Look carefully at the front upper wishbone, and more importantly, the hole into which the turnbuckle screws into.
My turnbuckle was not bent, but the hole had split slightly along the mould seam resulting in the turnbuckle being angled backwards. This altered the geometry and caused the car to spin out one way and not the other.
It could be that the tyres are wrong for the carpet you run on.

Thanks for the surgestions, keep em coming.
dale - never thought of that, will look into it, and ive done the top deck thing.
Ian - thats happened to me before aswel, and i've also checked that.
Mark - i dont thik so! we've been running them for the last 3 years! altho it may be a problem with this particular set, if all else fails ill try swapping left and right and see if it spins the other way.

Hi Ian,
Hinge pins would have been my first suggestion, and then the pivot ball. But you've checked both of those.
In really extreme crashes (you know full on ones!) we have seen cracks develop on the moulding line at the back of the upper wishbone. And I have also bent a titanium (!) upper wishbone turnbuckle.
Both of these will do nasty things to your handling, and are a paind to track down.
Beyond that a few shots in the dark :-
- A problem with a shock, say a bent shaft
- Checked front and rear droop?
- Could it be a problem with the rear, not the front - check the whole car?!
Cheers
