Hi,
COuld someone please tell me how to gear a stock motor (trinity p2k2-pro) for the xxx-s, indoors on a tight carpet track running foams. Currently i use the spur that comes with the xxx-s,g+ (redy orange?) and a 23t pinion, but my motor gets very hot and the cars feels a bit dead to the end of the race.
ANy advice would be great.
Thanks
ALex

21 90 is about right for a small track, bigger track like west bridgeford 24 90 is ok, make sure your car is free and motor well maintained as that creates more heat in the motor than over-gearing. make sure you also gear up slightly as your foams reduce in size with wear

for the P2k I would use a 20 pinion, gets me to the top 5, same track your running roughly, but i now have a monster, YEAH! 22 pinion and its the 2nd fastest, i just cant keep it on the track for 5 mins!

If you run foams, it is vital to gear the car according to the tyre diameter. When I run new TRC tyres, I gear my Monster @ 22/88 , when I am nearly finished with the tyres, eg, running them down to about 0.7-1mm (when they are at there best!) I will go up to about 24/88
Kev's car is second fastest, the one mentioned above is fastest! ;D and he knows it is ;) hehehe!

It's club champs this weekend, so i'll show you just how fast my (non graphite + ) Losi is!!! ;D ;D ;D
Anyway! 12th scale makes you a way better driver, teaches you to be smooth and how to control your left thumb better!
