Hi. I'm wondering about running a one-way diff. Is this advisable at WL circuit? If so, what advantages will it offer over the standard diff. Also, as I've only just started racing, I was wondering if I should have a few races with the normal diff first, to get used to the feel of it etc, before I then run a one-way. I don't want to run before I can walk if you know what I mean :D
Any thoughts?
Also what about a centre one-way unit? Anyone use them, and what exactly do they do? (Presumably different from one diff at front). As you can tell I don't know what I'm doing so someone explain!

Sorry, been too busy concentrating on 'sorting out probs' relating to club AGM.
For similiar technical questions for a quicker reply suggest use of the other areas within this forum.
As winter is with us suggest you stick with 4wd for now, aside from which many now use 'solid axle' in the front rather than a one way.

You'll find a one way gives you better turn in, although you can't run brakes on your speedo if using one (unless you want the car to swap ends on every corner!)
Try your car with the diff first, and consider a spool (solid) front, as you can run brakes with them, which is useful if you're a beginner.
One ways often cause problems with mid corner collisions between cars because people cant stop easily!
