Jean.

It would make an interesting exercise, though I'm not so sure about cost effectiveness.

I ran belt drive MR4s for 3 years, running the Special last season with good results. This year I have been running an SD.

My honest opinion. The "old" Belt drive car handled better. The shaft drive car is more efficient, and wins out slightly on lap times.

But I still love my belt drive Special. it was just so easy to drive.

regards

Joe.

i agree with you joe but i am starting to bet a bit agitated with tc3's doing early19's and me only managing to do 20's with extreme gearing good handling now its eighter the car or me !!!!!!
this morning i will be training every day in the mornings with the gearing i am using i cant even afford to use racing brushes, with the stock brushed the motor is not so bad see you joe and thanks !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi,

I don't think it is possible to change the yokomo MR4 TC belt drive to a shaft drive (I am pretty sure) lots of diferent components between the two cars. Surely not cost effective.

However I would recommend the SD very much, great car. I have quite some different types of cars but the yokomo run's best ! Try the novak brushless, just great with the Yokomo shaft drive !

Cheers,

Mark
