Gear ratio?

wot is the best gear ratio for this track as im wondering about a 32/86 is this a sutible ratio for a shumacher sst 99?

Well seeing as its you (see I even help Lab racers and non-Fantom motor users ;)) I'd recommend starting at 5.15 overall for a P2k2

What about a Monster Stock??

I was under the impression that about 5.4 was a good start for the monster / fantom silver?

Hi Oli - At Snetterton for a Fantom Silver/Monster I'd recommend starting at 5.5 and working from there. We've run 5.4 and smaller, just depends on the motor (they are stock and so differ!) and your dricing style/car set up.

Jamie - That's a motor we don't run much (except for Remo ;)) at the moment. Its got bags more torque than a P2K2, so may need a bigger pinion to get the top speed out of it. I'd start at the same 5.15 as the P2k2 ans suspect you'll end up something like a couple of pinions higher.

Don't have an SST99 gear chart handy - if you cannot work this out let us know and I'll dig through and find one!

iv just been round mark elms house to get some 64dp spur gears iv onl two he has given me three so i will be able to play areound with the gearing :D
