HOT BODIES INCH UP WHEELS
Hi all xray drivers
I have and did run the Hot Bodies 26mm Inch-up wheel at every single round I have ever done at Don Valley even going back a couple of years when I drove a Losi.
They do 'rub' on the shock bottom so I'm afraid a little 'work' is needed to get it all correct. There are 2 options available to you.
1. Remove a little material off the shock bottom enabling the wheel to rotate freely and yet retain enough plastic to not compromise strength - easiest.
2. Remove a little material off the wishbone where the shock mounting grub screw seats. If you take it down to at least flat (you should know what I mean when you look at the wishbone) then the shock will move inwards towards the wishbone further. This should clear the wheel. This is also the same trick we use when racing on foam tyres where the wheel is 28mm wide. This will take the most time/effort but will not compromise the strength of the shock bottom in any way.
Please take a little time to make sure you have no problems with the wheels rubbing before you race. I wouldn't recommend moving the shock in one hole at the wishbone as it makes the rear end feel completely different. Not saying it wouldn't be faster but different.
