Being an ignaramous I have no experience of nitro whatsoever. However,
I understand that Serpent cars are the cat's pyjamas. Is the impulse any good for a nitro newb like I would be.
It would be for knocking around the car parks with and maybe a starter car for racing.
If it is good, why so low priced??
All opinions valid to me
Cheers in advance la's

it has no engine/ starter box etc
are you running foam or rubber?
if your new id loook at a rtr kit to start with that way you can learn then if you want to race go to a pure bread
you also need to look at
Mugen
Team magic
Hobao
Associated
Schumacher
i have had my hands on the new Hobao RTR and i would highly recomend it all you need for £275 is very high spec ( I put one in the B as a national in RTR form) and can be converted to pro spec, i think there now in the shops.
look in cml catologe at you local shop! some pics here (http://www.rcracechat.com/vb/showthread.php?t=2748)

Come along to the Halifax club meeting this Sunday. If the weather is ok you will see lots of Serpents, some Associated NTC3's, Team Magic's and the odd Mugen. Ask around in the pits, they're a friendly bunch ;) and there's lots of experienced racers on hand. You will also see the different driving styles and car setup for both foam and rubber tyres.
