can anyone tell me the difference between a trc grey and a jaco grey. also is it alright to a trc rear wheel on a rc12L as the trc hub is a 5 hole fixing.

thanks craig.

If the wheel has a 5 hole fixing, then I dont think it'll fit on the associated hub, as these are 3 bolt (ie the angles/spacings wont add up!)

Not sure about tyres; I use corally golds/silvers

TRC'S and Jaco's will be very similar. I have never seen a 5 hole hub before but is it 5 evenly spread holes or a 3 + 2 set up which enables you to use both types of wheel?

TRC tyres seem to be a mm or two wider, or did just get a funny set?

The tires that come on the grey rims have a wider off-set than the ones that come on the black rims. This will give you a wider rear track and on some cars it will be outside the BRCA limits.

If you are gluing your own tho, I guess it does not matter which make of rubber you use as they are both so similar.

the 5 holes are only there so you can use either 2bolt or 3 bolt hubs... not because the reqauire 5 holes! ;)

Hang on a mo, I've just had to go out to the garage and get a wheel, my TRC's from last year only have 4 holes (unless we're including the center hole). There are 3 holes at a 120 degree pitch, suitable for the RC12L3 (3 Bolt) I think it will fit a Trinity as well (help me out here, only run an Associated), and an extra hole sitting between the botom two holes which accomodates a 2 bolt hub. The Associated 12L3 did need a bit of shaving doing to make the wheels fit (it took all of 2 min's), I just hope wish the glueing would last as long as the rubber!.

Yes.... thats what mine are like!

As far as i know - the TRC "multi-fix" wheel has 4 holes as Gareth has said - and will fit the 12L3 and the switchblade 12 (2002 car i think)

I have got both TRC and Asso/Jaco wheels on my L3

DOH!!!! ::)

sorry kids... slip of the fingers!

the trc wheels have 4 holes, 3 are for the 3 bolt hubs then the extra hole is opposite one of the 3 holes so you can use 2 bolt hubs.

and yes...all the holes in the trc wheels match up perfectly with trinity hubs ;)
