Practice will be limited to electric only on Saturday 9th October. Sorry no nitro or large scale. Also whatever track I setup on the Saturday will be the track used for Sunday.

As a new member, who is yet to come along, I was hoping to visit the track this weekend. I notice from the website that STCC round 8 is on Sunday with practice on Saturday, could someone let me know what this is? I will be running an electric car when I come along but maybe I will be better coming the following weekend.

Rob, the STCC meeting this coming weekend is the final round of the Southern Touring Car Championship which has been going on for the last 8 months. My suggestion would be to come down the following weekend as it's liable to get a bit franetic on Saturday with quite a few driver trying to get their cars set up for Sunday. Mine you, you could always come along on Sunday and see what goes. Come along to Race Control and introduce yourself. Just ask for Jon, or look for the old git with the cap on, that'll be me. :D

I'll be down for about an hour first thing (9.00am) and then back and forth during the rest of the day.

To all those who propose to practice on Saturday. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE
use the pegboard properly. Take the correct frequency peg off the board when you are about to practice and when you come off the track RETURN IT TO PEGBOARD, don't go wandering off with the peg still stuck on your handset. If I find any pegs missing from the board and not being used on the rostrum the person with the peg will be asked to stop practicing for the rest of the day YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. Also anyone practicing without a peg will also get the same treatment, and the excuse "Couldn't find the peg" is NO excuse.. I will make sure that all the pegs are there first thing on Saturday morning. This is for your benefit not mine. Random checks will be made throughout the day.
