Come on, I know there's a bunch of you out there with F1s and CCTs - so why, at the Ashby F1/Pan Car Challenge last Sunday, were there precisely three of us, all with RC10L3s? I'd been looking forward to racing against a couple of heats of other pan cars...

Just to make you all jealous, it was fantastic weather (unless you had a speedo with a thermal trip...) and we ran a superb 8-minute final (on 2000s in my case :) )

Ah well, perhaps I'll see you all another year.

Happy racing,
Jonny
(an off-road racer, dammit Kev!)

Jonny, I think it might have something to do with 2 Nationals and no publicity (at least that I was aware of).

What a shame ... i would have gone but i stopped by Snetterton ...
Shame more local clubs dont try and run them again .... except I believe West London and Ipswich...

Ok , just so you guys get plenty of notice Ashby is once again holding its pan car challenge. Not just one meeting, not just two meetings but three meeting over the summer. Open to any type of pan car run in their own heat/s with all the other normal electric and nitro touring cars racing as per a normal club meeting.

The dates are round 1 25/04/04, round 2 20/06/04, round 3 01/08/04.
** subject to change if a national meeting needs to be moved **

What i would like to know is should we have a motor limit or leave it open to your own choice, should we run over 5,6,7,8 or more minutes, what format would you like ? four qual plus one final, three qual plus two finals or maybe even three qual and three finals if we had the time.

Lets hear your thoughts as you guys will be the ones racing after all.
