I have chosen the graphite tub chassis because i find this to be the best handling and best value for money. I hav tried the standard chassis and the irs one but i felt that the irs conversion kit handles badly and is very expensive. The warpspeed looks good but ive never tried 1. If you look at all the top drivers at nationals with tc3's only hardly anyone will be runing an irs coversion kit if any. I have a grafite chassis an find it to handle the best.

I have an IRS conversion on mine and it handles just fine. A lot lighter than the standard plastic version. Graham Creasey also runs one and he has the side braces on his.
Its well made and everything slotted in nicely.

my car is underweight anyway so 4 me weight is not a problem

I've actually changed to the standard chassis from a graphite one and find it to generate a little more corner speed as well as having the peace of mind of reducing the chance of interference and shorting cells out.
If a upper and lower deck were better then I would personally think that associated and other top manufacturers would have brought it out like that. Yokomo brought it out with a upper and lower deck but now do a tub chassis upgrade. But its personal choice at the end of the day. I would definately save the money and buy tyres/inserts/wheels with the cash.
Weight shouldn't be a problem as the TC3 is well under wieght from standard

I don't know if its a case of one style being better than another. More of a case of preference. I presume Yokomo bringing out a tub chassis is a way of increaing options.
Both style have been used by many companies for years so I'm assuming there is no "better choice". I am just very interested in finding out what each style of chassis brings to the car and also what people think of the actual products available. For instance a deck system could be great but the ones available may be lacking :D
Thanks for the replies guys. More info, comments and opinions would be great :)

As shiny and as gorgeous as that is, you wouldn't want to scratch it would you.
Didn't associated sell a stick on sheet that they used to protect the bottom of their chassis....
It looks bloody wicked though..... mmmmmmm

Hello Andy
I will be bringing back from the States, the Titanium chassis another complete Factory Team on an IRS Chassis and an IRS Ultimate set as well.
Once we are back, beginning of November, 1st I think, give us another email and maybe we can talk further. Until we see the condition of it all, I cannot say what of them, including my current Factory Team/IRS I want to move on.
Cheers
Lee
