Hi all,
Does anyone run these? If so are they any good?
I need to replace an armature in one of mod motors, aftaer a "little" screw-up with my new comm lathe, call it a rookie error.. yes, ok, I had the comm spining the wrong way.... opps.

Anyway, like I said I'm looking to repalce the armature, and just wonder how good a fit the are, and if it really matters if it's not going in an infinity motor.

Regards

Was it from your orion motor?

If it was nigel has orion arms in stock normally.

Are you sure its really dead?

hi ya,

infinity arms are fast. they are basically a reedy arm or yok, depending on wot spec you want. great thing with these arms or even motors is daryl can build any spec you want. we`ve been playing with wire thickness last couple of months generally in off road using 9 x 1 but im told they work just as well in touring car. any more info please pm me.

I started running for Infinity this year and have been VERY pleased with them indeed. The motors are essentially a TI style, but the armatures are some of the neatest wound I have ever seen.

As Tim says you can have an arm wound anyway you like, but by far the best way is to ring Daryl at Infinity (a very helpfull and knowledgeble chap) and talk to him about what you want from the motor and he can advise you accordingly.

Lastly if you put the arm in a can you already have then if its not an Infinity can its not technically BRCA legal. If its just for club racing its fine really, but make sure you check its shimmed up correctly so the brushes run on the comm correctly.

I wanted to save my BRM arm for competitions so I shoved a Reedy 12x2 in a BRM can which is kinda what your asking if you can do. Not had a problem with it, ran it four times.
