I can confirm the one with Yellow/Green wires is 27 turn. Not sure about the others though.

540J isnt 20 turn at all, the diffrence is from the new and the old motors that when you buy the motor it comes in a box instead of a packet the j stands for jonson, plus if you compare an 540j motor and a 27t stock motor theres a big diffrence, the stock motor is easy faster

i know this is probably a silly question but what is the difference between say a 27t and a 19t also some motors are described as 12x2 and 11x2. also i am planning to buy an M-TONIKS SONIK 4 ECO 27t electronic speed controller with a 27t limit what does this mean?? ?? i am a bit of a newbie to this tuning stuff but am keen to get racing (i have a mardave v12 on the way)

The turns refer to the number winds of copper wire within the motor. Generally the lower the number the quicker the motor but obviously more demand is placed on the battery and hence less run time. 19T should be quicker than a 27T but there are other factors such as hand or machine wind and balancing. Read the threads in the motor section of this forum for more info or visit manufacturers websites such as Team Orion. Single, double, triple refers to the numbers wire wound at one time. I think I am correct in saying that a triple has more torque that a single but a single has a higher top speed.
The turn limit on the esc means it is not possible to use this esc with a motor that has less turns than this.
It has been reported elsewhere on this site that the mtronik 27t esc should only be used with silver can 540 motors and it is risky to use it with a 27t motor. Maybe to be on the safe side you should consider the eco20.
Hope this helps. If you have more question maybe try posting in the motor or esc threads.
