Will the Cat 3000 undertray fit a Cat 2000?

hello all,

Does anyone out there know if the cat 3000 undertray will fit on a cat 2000 chassis with a cat 2000 shell on top? I know the EC is the same shell as the standard cat 2000, and pretty sure the 98 is the same too. So if anyone that's had some experience with them and could help I'd apreciate it.

By the way, the reason for this is that I want to race my old Cat 2000 at Batley on the weekend but it's missing it's undertray. I can get one for it, but at the best it will take a week to arrive. Both local shops have a cat 3000 undertray in, so that's my only option if I want to race.

I don't have a 2000 shell to try it on, but i don't think it would fit. If i remember rightly the 2000 shell was more rounded at the back, and the 3000 is a little longer. You might be able to "modify" it but not sure how good a fit it would be.
